SF Squared understands that there is a strong need, when people begin training, to take away the intimidation of being in a fitness environment. The Squad is our mobile app, to tackle this need. By making our app a communication tool, The Squad is not only for trainers to communicate with clients, but also for members to get fitness pointers, keep track of progress, and even meet with other members to work out together. The app will also feature a video library of exercises to inspire members to try new exercises, account information to stay updated on billing, and SF Squared retail purchases, of meal plans, massage bookings and fitness apparel.
At SF Squared we believe gender neutrality isn’t just a way to treat everyone equally, but it’s a way to bring the gym experience into the future, and away from an antiquated past. To make this concept a reality, we are embarking on a journey to make sure that all SF Squared facilities, are designed with this in mind. That means that all locker rooms/members lounges, restrooms and showers will be accessible to males, females, and transgendered individuals together. We want to move the concept of people changing and showering in open spaces, and move to a future in which privacy, respect, individuality, and less intimidation become a part of future gym experiences.
Using the examples of traditional locker rooms, where people move through an open area to find a locker, and change, we are presenting an alternative. Our locker room will be furnished with sofas and chairs, instead of benches, and would have tea/coffee service bar, televisions, and lockers. However, we would additionally have several fitting rooms along one side of the room, so that people would change in a private space, rather than in the open. As well, our shower area would be fully self-contained, with room to change your clothes, and to shower within. We believe that these facilities will provide better privacy, but also a more elevated experience, with towel service and free wifi. The future of gym training, is here at SF Squared!
Community is at the heart of what SF Squared strives to serve. With the knowledge that fitness can impact lives tremendously both mentally and physically, we want to do our part in making an impact locally. We designed Fitness Fund to make fitness accessible regardless, of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and class. As a fundraising arm of SF Squared, Fitness Fund will host events throughout the year, securing donations from corporations and individuals to make a scholarship fund for those in need. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals nominated once a year, in need of experienced training, and a training location, that they could not necessarily afford on their own. Great people that serve their communities, such as teachers, community volunteers, artists, can access having a trainer, and membership for one year, at SF Squared facilities. Healthy hearts and humanity go hand in hand, and our Fitness Fund is the way to make sure everyone has a chance to feel great about themselves.
Duboce Park Boot Camp
Everybody deserves the feeling of accomplishment when they work hard for something. At SF Squared, we understand how important it is to feel healthy, and how great it can feel when you reach your fitness goals. But not everyone can get knowledgeable fitness instruction made accessible for them. We’re trying to do our part, by providing “Community Outreach Classes”. A way to connect to the neighbors in our community, and provide a higher level of fitness instruction service at an affordable price. SF Squared’s “Duboce Park Boot Camp” has been going strong for the last three years. It has brought together a variety of people, all looking for a way to get fit, in a fun social environment, in the great outdoors. To sign up for our next session of classes, click here!
